Folifora is a newly developed, democratic manufacturing process for the production of ceramic containers, facilitating without electricity and specific devices. The technique allows the reproduction of handmade and notably thin-walled and light shards without the need for elaborate mould construction: rolled out clay is placed onto a hole template and with a scoop shaped into a container. Folifora provides ergonomic working conditions in which one can work noise-free, sensible and without much physical strength, also strengthening emotional aspects such as the feeling of participation and codetermination.
